Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi fired blank in Lorient first game of the 2021-2022 French Ligue One campaign against Saint Etiene on Sunday.
Moffi and his mates took on their hosts at Stade Geoffroy Guichard Stadium for their league opener and they managed to secure an impressive 1-1 draw.
Lorient Coach Christophe Pelissier started the game with 4-4-2 formation with Terem Moffi and Armand Lauriente leading the attack.
The duo caused Saint-Etiene defence whole lot of trouble all through the game, before they were replaced in the second half by Dango Faissal Ouattara and Pierre-Yves Hamel respectively.
Vincent Le Goff finds the net with his left foot to put Lorient in front early in the second half, but the home side restored parity with less than 15 minutes to go.
Referee awarded penalty to Saint-Etiene with the help of Video Assistant Referee after Julien Laporte tripped Wahbi Khazri in the box and striker made no mistake from the spot.
The game ended 1-1 and but side shares the spoils.
