As part of its 80th-anniversary celebrations, Wema Bank, Nigeria’s most innovative financial institution and the pioneer of Africa’s first fully digital bank, ALAT, has rewarded 80 customers in the landmark 80th daily draw of its 5 for 5 Promo Season 4.
Launched in 2021, the 5 for 5 Promo was designed to appreciate customers for their loyalty and support. Over the first three seasons, the initiative disbursed over ₦150 million to Wema Bank customers nationwide. Season 4, which commenced on October 1, 2024, raised the stakes significantly, with ₦135 million allocated for rewards.
In just four months, over 2,000 customers have won cash prizes of up to ₦1 million each through daily, weekly, and monthly draws. So far, 522 winners have emerged from four monthly draws, 800 winners from 16 weekly draws, and over 900 winners from 80 daily draws—making this the biggest season yet, with nearly three times the rewards of previous editions.
To commemorate its upcoming 80th anniversary on May 2, 2025, Wema Bank made the 80th daily draw a special event by rewarding 80 customers with cash prizes. In a unique twist, the draw featured a live studio audience for the first time, capturing real-time reactions of excitement as the winners were announced.
