The Celestial Church of Christ has commenced its 26th Annual Youth Conference with a powerful call to action from Chairman Brother Elijah Ibiokoro. In his opening address, Ibiokoro emphasized the critical need to bridge the generational gap within the church, urging participants to step into their divine roles as the people of God.
Expressing deep gratitude, Ibiokoro acknowledged the pivotal role of the church’s leadership in guiding the youth. “We appreciate our father, the General Coordinator, Senior Evangelist Samuel Odeyemi, for his kingdom investment and spiritual impact on us,” he stated. He also extended thanks to the board of secretaries, state executives, kingdom partners, youth leaders, ministers, and the entire youth body of the Celestial Church of Christ for their unwavering love and contributions.
Highlighting the meticulous work of the conference executives and the committee of twenty-four hundred, Ibiokoro praised their dedication, noting that their efforts have greatly blessed the gathering. “As we converge, we honor our spiritual heritage and the faithful legacy of our forebears,” he said, while stressing the importance of embracing the dynamism and energy of the younger generation. “The church’s vision lies in the hands of its youth,” he added, emphasizing the crucial role of the younger generation in shaping the church’s future.
Ibiokoro described the conference as a transformative opportunity to blend the wisdom of the older generation with the innovation of the new. Drawing parallels with the life of Jesus, who was known simply as the son of Joseph until the Holy Spirit revealed His fullness, Ibiokoro warned of the dangers of failing to manifest God’s glory in these end times. “The church and its youths must understand that this manifestation is not achieved through eloquence, zeal, passion, might, or strength, but through the Spirit of the Lord,” he said, citing Zechariah 4:6.
He further emphasized the necessity of the Holy Spirit’s power to bring about change and fulfill prophecy. Ibiokoro challenged the youth to recognize their need for spiritual power, which is essential for achieving dominion and fulfilling their destinies. “This conference will bring about a change in you, and the Holy Spirit will make it happen,” he declared, invoking the example of Jesus, whose prominence was established by the Holy Spirit.
As the conference continues, Ibiokoro encouraged participants to remain open to the workings of the Holy Spirit. “We need the Spirit’s power to live in this world, to confront and overturn powers in high places, and to manifest God’s glory in our lives,” he affirmed. He assured attendees that the manifestation of God’s glory would be a central feature of the conference, leading to a covenant explosion and the establishment of their positions within the kingdom.
