Digital solutions provider, Globacom, has announced its readiness to collaborate with tertiary institutions in Oyo State to enhance productivity, security, and operational efficiency through the adoption of its digital offerings.
Speaking during a meeting in Ibadan on Thursday with representatives of private tertiary institutions, Globacom’s Head of Enterprise Business, Mr. Zakari Usman, emphasized the importance of embracing the company’s digital solutions. He urged institutions to leverage these technologies to improve their operational effectiveness and ensure seamless digital integration.
Mr. Adeniyi Odejobi, Enterprise Business Head for the West Region at Globacom, also highlighted the telecom company’s commitment to partnering with tertiary institutions in Oyo State. He outlined various digital solutions available, including connectivity services, e-governance, smart learning, data vending, security surveillance, sponsored data, Glo Smart Health, and closed user group serialized numbers. According to Odejobi, these solutions aim to enhance administrative efficiency, service delivery, and internet connectivity across campuses.
He further explained that Globacom’s educational solutions play a critical role in integrating the internet into school curriculums, offering user-friendly interfaces, personalized learning paths, interactive content, comprehensive reporting, and analytics.
Oyo State Commissioner for Education, Prof. Waheed Adelabu, who welcomed the Globacom team, expressed optimism that the company’s digital offerings would align with the ministry’s efforts to adopt educational best practices in the state. He praised Globacom for its continued support of the education sector in Oyo State and its commitment to fostering educational development.
