Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has extended his congratulations to Dr. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 general election, on his 68th birthday.
In a statement issued on Monday by his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature, Governor Yusuf praised Kwankwaso’s exceptional leadership and widespread political influence across Nigeria. Describing him as a mentor and principal, Yusuf highlighted Kwankwaso’s role in shaping numerous leaders across various sectors.
Reflecting on their 38-year working relationship, Yusuf expressed gratitude for the life lessons and experiences he has gained under Kwankwaso’s guidance. “You are an embodiment of honesty, dedication, and service to the people. Your political philosophy has transformed communities, inspired quality leadership, and significantly impacted Nigeria’s political landscape,” the governor said.
Yusuf also commended Kwankwaso’s extensive service to the nation, which includes positions such as Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Governor of Kano State, Minister of Defence, Special Envoy to Darfur and Somalia, Senator, and NNPP Presidential Candidate in 2023.
“On behalf of myself, my family, the government, and the people of Kano State, I wish you many more years of dedicated service to humanity,” Yusuf concluded.
