Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE has entered an exclusive partnership with Premier Product Marketing LLC, a subsidiary of the Vinmar Group, to export its newly launched Dangote Polypropylene™ to global markets outside Nigeria and Africa.
The agreement comes as the Dangote refinery in Lekki, Lagos, begins polypropylene production, positioning the company to enter the international plastics market. The state-of-the-art facility employs INEOS’s INNOVENE technology to produce high-quality polypropylene grades used in packaging, automotive, textiles, and construction sectors.
Speaking on the development, Hajiya Fatima Aliko Dangote, Group Executive Director (Commercial), Dangote Group, said: “We’re pleased to partner with Vinmar to introduce Dangote Polypropylene™ to the global markets. This product will join the ranks of Dangote’s globally recognised brands, known for quality and reliability.”
Vinmar Group CEO, Vishal Goradia, described the partnership as a significant milestone: “We are proud to expand our relationship with Dangote through this important partnership. Vinmar has had a long-standing relationship with Dangote in Nigeria, and we’re excited to support the global rollout of Dangote Polypropylene™.”
Valued at $2 billion, the petrochemical plant is designed to produce 77 polypropylene grades with an annual output capacity of 900,000 metric tonnes, targeting an estimated turnover of $1.2 billion. The facility aims to meet increasing global demand in the plastics processing industry.
