Senegal will host the second edition of the Forum Invest in Senegal (Fii Senegal) 2025 on October 7–8 at the Abdou Diouf International Conference Center (CICAD) in Diamniadio, reaffirming the country’s ambition to position itself as a regional hub for innovation and sustainable development.
“Fii Senegal is the stage where Senegal demonstrates how innovation, sustainability and transparency converge to support the country’s growth model,” said Bakary Séga Bathily, Director General of the Agency for the Promotion of Investments and Major Works (APIX).
A key highlight of the event will be the unveiling of the new 2025 Investment Code, led by APIX. The framework is designed to encourage strategic and responsible projects by offering expanded incentives, streamlining administrative processes, improving land access, and strengthening support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The forum will also spotlight progress under Senegal’s Vision 2050, which includes a 500 MW solar power plant, new wind farms, modernized transport systems such as the electric BRT and the regional express train (TER), and large-scale agricultural and water projects aimed at enhancing food security. On the digital front, initiatives such as the Startup Act, the sovereign cloud, and a national data center are driving the development of a competitive digital economy.
Social programs will also be in focus, with DER/FJ and ADEPME providing financial, mentorship and technical support to women and youth entrepreneurs.
The agenda features a high-level panel on energy and strategic resources, discussions on industrial mapping and investment opportunities, a session dedicated to ICT and artificial intelligence, as well as a startup pitch competition and debates on the role of technology in agriculture.
“By showcasing initiatives that deliver shared prosperity and strategic impact across the region, Fii Senegal is emphasizing its theme of connecting opportunities, building the future,” Bathily added.
