Fearless Energy Drink, the bold and vibrant brand from Rite Foods Limited, has returned as the Exclusive Energy Drink Sponsor of Felabration 2025, the world-renowned festival celebrating the life, music, and legacy of Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
Themed “Shakara,” this year’s edition runs from October 13 to 19, 2025, at the New Afrika Shrine, Ikeja, with daily festivities beginning at 6 p.m. The event will bring together fans, artists, and Afrobeat enthusiasts in a powerful celebration of music, art, and creative freedom.
Now a global cultural phenomenon, Felabration continues to attract audiences from across Africa and beyond, blending music, fashion, art, and activism in tribute to Fela’s fearless spirit and enduring influence.
According to Boma Harrison, Head of Marketing at Rite Foods Limited, the partnership reflects shared values between the Fearless brand and Fela’s legacy.
“We are thrilled to return as the exclusive energy drink sponsor of Felabration 2025. Fearless stands for boldness and confidence — the same fearless spirit that defined Fela and continues to inspire generations of Nigerians,” Harrison said.
Echoing this sentiment, Ekuma Eze, Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, highlighted Fearless’ long-standing connection with the festival, recalling its 2021 tribute, when the brand presented a posthumous saxophone award in honor of Fela’s musical legacy.
“Fearless represents everything Fela stood for — courage, creativity, and freedom of expression. We’re proud to support an event that keeps his legacy alive and inspires new generations to live boldly,” he stated.
This year’s celebration features a packed lineup of events, including the Afrobics Dance Competition on October 4 and the Dress Like Fela Fashion Contest on October 5 at Freedom Park, where fans reimagined Fela’s iconic style. Youth engagement also took center stage with the Secondary School Debate on October 8 and the Fela Debates Symposium on October 13 at NECA Hall, Ikeja, exploring the Afrobeat pioneer’s influence on activism and African identity.
The main concerts, holding from October 13 to 19, will showcase performances by Femi Kuti, Made Kuti, Terry Apala, Kashcoming, Berri Tega, and other leading artists. Art exhibitions inspired by Fela’s music will also provide a visual tribute to his revolutionary message.
In true Felabration tradition, all concerts are free, allowing everyone to join in the week-long celebration of culture, music, and self-expression.
With Fearless Energy Drink powering the festivities, Felabration 2025 promises to be an electrifying showcase of Afrobeat’s enduring rhythm — a bold testament to Nigeria’s creativity, resilience, and fearless energy.
