The Tinubu–Ambode Support Associates (TASA) has lauded the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State Chapter, for organizing a highly impactful and unifying Stakeholders Forum on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island. The event brought together party stalwarts, legislators, cabinet members, council chairmen, youth mobilizers, and political leaders to strategize for the 2027 general elections.
Declaring the forum open, Lagos APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, described it as a “strategic melting pot of ideas” aimed at strengthening internal cohesion, reconnecting with the grassroots, and enhancing voter mobilization ahead of 2027.
Fashola Urges Deeper Engagement with Voters
Delivering the keynote address, former Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), urged the APC leadership to engage both existing supporters and new voters through the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
“The strength of our democracy lies not only in new registrations but in sustaining the confidence of those who have consistently voted APC across elections,” Fashola said, stressing the need for voter education and civic enlightenment.
Basiru Reaffirms Tinubu’s Developmental Vision
APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, noting its impact on Nigeria’s economic and infrastructural transformation. He called for intensified grassroots mobilization across Lagos’ 20 local governments and 37 LCDAs, emphasizing that “continuity, unity, and coordination” remain vital for electoral success.
Ambode’s Appearance Sparks Unity
A highlight of the event was the appearance of former Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, whose entrance drew a standing ovation from party members. His presence, TASA noted, symbolized reconciliation and renewed unity within the Lagos APC.
TASA described Ambode’s re-emergence as “the rekindling of a bridge that connects the past, present, and future of Lagos progressivism,” citing his record in infrastructure, governance, and innovation as defining elements of modern Lagos.
Lawmakers, Sanwo-Olu’s Team Reaffirm Commitment
House of Representatives Caucus Leader, Hon. Enitan Dolapo Badru, and Senator Tokunbo Abiru highlighted legislative and executive achievements supporting Lagos’ development and President Tinubu’s policies.
Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, presented a detailed review of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s six-year performance under the THEMES+ Agenda, noting progress in transport, housing, education, health, and youth empowerment.
Celebration of Progress and Party Solidarity
The event concluded with a performance by Fuji maestro King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (K1 De Ultimate), celebrating APC’s unity and shared vision for progress.
Notable attendees included GAC Chairman Prince Tajudeen Olusi, Dr. Abayomi Finnih, Chief James Odumbaku (Baba Eto), Senator Seye Ogunlewe, and Senator Ganiyu Solomon, among others.
Reaffirming its loyalty to the party, TASA pledged to mobilize over four million votes for the APC and its candidates in the 2027 general elections, describing the forum as “the dawn of a stronger, more inclusive, and united Lagos APC.”
