The International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), a member of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, has signed a US$200 million syndicated Murabaha financing agreement with Türk Eximbank to enhance trade financing for private sector businesses, particularly export-oriented small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The facility aims to expand access to Islamic trade finance solutions, strengthen export competitiveness, and promote sustainable economic growth in Türkiye. It will support SMEs and private sector clients by improving their ability to access financing for trade-related activities, thereby safeguarding jobs and stimulating industrial development.
The agreement marks a new milestone in the long-standing collaboration between ITFC and Türk Eximbank, which began in 2009. Since then, ITFC has approved approximately US$3.7 billion in financing for Türk Eximbank, contributing to the growth of local industries and the promotion of Türkiye’s exports.
The newly extended facility reinforces ITFC’s commitment to deepening its partnership with Türk Eximbank and advancing their shared goal of fostering inclusive, export-driven economic growth through enhanced trade and private sector empowerment.
