Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has congratulated Muslims in the state and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid el-Maulud, urging them to reflect on the teachings and values of Prophet Muhammad.
Sanwo-Olu, in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, encouraged Muslims to uphold the Prophet’s values of kindness, compassion, patience and integrity in their daily lives.
The governor said the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) provided an enduring example of peaceful coexistence and responsible living, stressing the importance of promoting unity and progress in society.
“Today, as we mark Eid el-Maulud, I extend my warmest wishes to all our Muslim brothers and sisters across Lagos.
“The life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) remind us of the importance of kindness, patience and compassion towards one another.
“May our homes be filled with joy, and may Allah continue to guide and bless our state and country. I pray for peace, unity, and progress in our state and country,” he said.
