Promasidor Reaffirms Commitment to Nigeria’s Growth

By Ayomide Otitoju

The company said its investments in local production, job creation, community development and the food and dairy value chain are aimed at supporting economic growth and improving access to affordable nutrition.

Speaking on the anniversary, Promasidor Nigeria Chief Executive Officer, François Gillet, congratulated Nigerians and said the company would continue to support national development through sustainable investments and inclusive business practices.

“As Nigeria celebrates 66 years of independence, we are reminded that nation-building is a shared responsibility. At Promasidor, we remain committed to investing in Nigeria, creating opportunities, strengthening local value chains and making quality nutrition more accessible to consumers,” Gillet said.

The company said one of its major investments is the Ikun Dairy Farm, which is focused on increasing domestic milk production and supporting the development of Nigeria’s dairy value chain.

According to Promasidor, the farm has more than 650 cattle, employs over 200 people directly and supports more than 1,000 indirect jobs in surrounding communities.

Promasidor said its contribution to Nigeria’s nutrition sector dates back to March 1993, when it introduced Cowbell Milk in sachet form, with the aim of making milk more accessible to consumers.

Its current portfolio includes Cowbell, Loya, Miksi, Toptea, Onga, Twisco and Kremela.

Gillet said the company’s investments were designed to support activities across the value chain, from local production and employment to consumer access.

“Our investments are designed to create value across the entire chain – from local production and employment to the consumer,” he said.

Promasidor also cited recent industry recognition, including awards for the company and its Cowbell brand, as well as a Corporate Social Responsibility Award at the Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) Awards for Marketing Excellence.

The company said it would continue to support local production, employment, community development and access to affordable food and nutrition products in Nigeria.
