Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi, Chairman of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC) of the Lagos All Progressives Congress (APC), on his 90th birthday.
Sanwo-Olu described Olusi, the Baba Adini of Yorubaland and Atobatele of Ekiti, as a man of loyalty, integrity, wisdom and patience who has contributed to political development in Lagos State and the wider South-West region.
The governor said Olusi’s fatherly counsel had helped him navigate political and governance challenges since assuming office.
“Baba has taken me like a son — in fact, I am his political son. He has handheld me, advising me on several occasions on matters of politics and governance,” Sanwo-Olu said.
He added that Olusi remained a valuable source of historical and political knowledge, with insights spanning the era of Chief Obafemi Awolowo’s Action Group to the current republic.
The governor also praised the nonagenarian’s commitment to party discipline, noting that he believed political parties must uphold their decisions to remain strong and united.
As Olusi marks his 90th birthday, Sanwo-Olu prayed for his continued good health and wished him a happy celebration on behalf of his family and the people of Lagos State.
