FlashChange to Host Webinar on Nigeria’s Crypto Industry

By Ayomide Otitoju

FlashChange, a virtual assets and financial technology company, is set to host a webinar examining the opportunities and challenges of building a sustainable cryptocurrency industry in Nigeria.

The webinar, themed “Beyond the Framework: The Realities of Building Crypto in Nigeria,” will bring together industry stakeholders, financial experts, practitioners and technology leaders to discuss the country’s evolving digital asset ecosystem and the practical implications of its regulatory framework.

Despite progress in establishing regulations for digital asset activities, questions remain about how the frameworks affect businesses, consumers and other participants in the sector.

The session will examine the practical requirements for establishing, operating and scaling cryptocurrency businesses in Nigeria while balancing regulatory compliance, innovation, consumer protection and competitiveness.

Discussions will cover licensing, compliance requirements, operational costs, consumer trust, access to banking and financial infrastructure, market competition, and the role of regulation in shaping the industry’s future.

Speaking ahead of the event, FlashChange’s Chief Communications Officer, Ememobong Udofot, said the webinar reflects the company’s commitment to knowledge sharing and advancing conversations about Africa’s digital economy.

“The conversation around crypto in Nigeria can no longer be limited to what the framework says. We must also examine what it means for businesses trying to build responsibly, consumers seeking safe and accessible services, and an industry that wants to compete globally. This webinar provides an opportunity for stakeholders to have a practical and honest conversation about what lies beyond the framework,” Udofot said.

According to the company, the webinar will provide participants with an opportunity to engage with industry experts and gain insights into the relationship between regulation, innovation and business sustainability.

FlashChange said constructive engagement among regulators, businesses, technology innovators and consumers would be important to developing a digital asset ecosystem that encourages responsible innovation while protecting market participants.

The webinar is open to stakeholders in technology, fintech, blockchain, cryptocurrency, financial services and the wider business community.

Participants will be able to hear from industry experts, ask questions and contribute to discussions on the future of cryptocurrency in Nigeria.
