The Managing Director of Rite Foods Limited, Seleem Adegunwa, has been named Industrialist of the Year by Vanguard Media Limited in recognition of his leadership and the company’s impact on Nigeria’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
The award was presented at a ceremony held at the Convention Centre of Eko Hotel and Suites on April 24, 2026, attracting business leaders, policymakers, and industry stakeholders.
Under Adegunwa’s leadership, Rite Foods has strengthened its position in the FMCG market through innovation, product development, and expanded distribution. The company has introduced new product formats and brands, contributing to increased competition and shifting consumer preferences in Nigeria’s food and beverage industry.
The recognition coincided with the theme of World Creativity and Innovation Day, “Recreating Tomorrow Today,” reflecting the company’s focus on innovation and growth.
Speaking at the event, Vanguard Editor Eze Anaba commended Adegunwa for driving expansion and fostering innovation within the company, noting that its growth has generated employment opportunities across its value chain.
Receiving the award on his behalf, the company’s Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, Ekuma Eze, described the honour as a validation of Rite Foods’ commitment to delivering quality products and competing at a high level.
Rite Foods’ product portfolio includes its Bigi carbonated soft drinks, Fearless Energy Drink, and Sosa Fruit Drink, which have contributed to its market presence. The company has also expanded its consumer engagement through entertainment partnerships, including sponsorship of the television show Nigerian Idol.
The company operates a manufacturing facility in Ogun State and continues to expand its footprint in Nigeria’s FMCG sector.
