An Abuja-to-Lagos Air Peace flight was forced to return to the ramp early Thursday following a bird strike shortly before take-off. The incident occurred at 6:30 a.m., prompting immediate safety measures as all passengers safely disembarked from the aircraft.
Air Peace’s Head of Corporate Communications, Ejike Ndiulo, confirmed in a statement that a replacement aircraft had been dispatched to minimize delays for affected passengers.
“We wish to inform our esteemed passengers that our Abuja-Lagos 06:30 flight experienced a bird strike before take-off, prompting a ramp return as a safety measure. All passengers disembarked normally,” Ndiulo stated.
He assured passengers of the airline’s commitment to safety, adding, “We appeal for the understanding of our valued passengers impacted by this development, as well as those on other flights that may experience delays.”
The airline reaffirmed its commitment to safe, comfortable, and reliable air travel for all passengers.
