New signing Alhassan Yusuf is in a race against time to make his debut for Antwerp on Sunday as he waits for his work permit to come through.
The energetic former FC Hearts midfielder was not listed by the Belgian club in last weekend’s season opener at Standard Liege, which they lost 3-2.
However, he has now trained fully with his new team and should his paper work come through, he will most likely make his much-awaited debut at home against KV Kortrijk Sunday.
‘Hasse’ has signed a four-year contract with ambitious Antwerp, who paid Swedish club IFK Goteborg 1.5 Million Euros for him.
He has snce been handed jersey No 8 by the team who placed third in the league and reached the Belgium Cup Final last season.
