Enyimba striker Victor Mbaoma has stated that the People’s Elephants were in jubilant mood after a disappointing draw away to Lobi stars appeared to have ended the team’s continental hopes with rivals Rivers united FC leading 2-0 away to MFM FC as at the completion of the People’s Elephants game in Makurdi.
Mbaoma speaking in a chat with brila.net revealed that it was indeed a gloomy face for everyone in the dressing room until the players took their phones to check only to see MFM FC scoring two stoppage time goals to level 2-2 with Rivers united denying the Porthacourt based side what would have shot them up to second on the league table and Enyimba out of the continental place.
