Arsenal have agreed a club-record £55.7 million fee with Al Hilal for the transfer of Gabriel Martinelli, while Gabriel Jesus is set to join Barcelona for £8.6 million.
Martinelli has been granted permission to undergo a medical with the Saudi Pro League club and will become Arsenal’s biggest-ever sale if the transfer is completed.
The deal will surpass the £40 million Arsenal received from Liverpool for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in 2017.
Jesus is also expected to leave the Emirates after Arsenal reached an agreement in principle with Barcelona. The remaining details are being finalised, with the Brazil international potentially travelling to Spain as soon as Monday.
The move may not end Barcelona’s pursuit of Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez as the Spanish club continues to strengthen its attack.
Jesus joined Arsenal from Manchester City for £45 million four years ago and scored 32 goals in 123 appearances. However, he made only three Premier League starts last season after missing much of the previous campaign with a knee injury suffered in January 2025.
The 29-year-old has won 64 caps for Brazil but has not played for the national team since November 2023.
Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick said the club are satisfied with their recruitment work so far.
“We are on a good path at the moment,” Flick said.
Arsenal have also agreed to sell midfielder Fabio Vieira to Hamburg for a fee expected to be around £7.7 million.
Vieira is travelling to Germany to complete the transfer.
The sales of Martinelli, Jesus and Vieira could generate around £72 million for Arsenal, taking their total transfer income this summer to approximately £117 million.
