The tenth season of Big Brother Naija officially kicked into high gear Sunday night with the unveiling of 14 male housemates, completing the 29-member cast and wrapping up a dynamic double launch weekend.
The live show featured high-energy performances from Afrobeats acts Shoday and Taves, setting the tone for what promises to be an explosive season. As always, host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu captivated viewers with his fashion statements—first in a newspaper-print suit paying tribute to Prince Nico Mbarga, and later in a regal, Okotie-Eboh-inspired look complete with traditional accessories.
The newly introduced male contestants join the 15 female housemates revealed Saturday night, intensifying anticipation for the ₦150 million grand prize. Each male housemate brought distinct personalities, talents, and backstories to the show:
Jason Jae, a creative director and musician from Ondo, kicked off the competition as the interim Head of House after winning the season’s first HoH challenge.
Bright Morgan, a Nollywood actor from Imo, touted his charm, intellect, and emotional depth.
Danboskid, an Ekiti-born model and entrepreneur, aims to leverage the platform to promote his brand.
Denari, a mimic artist from Anambra, seeks self-discovery and greater visibility.
Faith, a medical doctor from Osun, brings bold energy and leadership, identifying as polyamorous.
Kaybobo, an American football player from Ekiti, shares his journey of recovery and empowerment.
Kayikunmi, a banker also from Ekiti, hopes to entertain and challenge perceptions.
Kola, a quality assurance analyst from Canada via Ekiti, wants to showcase vulnerability and strength.
Koyin, a model from Ogun, is out to stir drama and boost his career.
Otega, a chef and photographer from Delta, enters with quiet confidence and emotional depth.
Kuture, a sailor from Kogi, promises charisma and bold energy.
Mensan, a lawyer from Rivers, represents Port Harcourt with unapologetic honesty.
Rooboy, a hypeman from Ogun, vows to leave a lasting impact.
Victory, a psychologist from Akwa Ibom, sees the show as a platform to challenge societal norms.
The episode concluded with Big Brother introducing a fresh twist: the newly crowned Head of House will face a “Challenger Game” every Monday, opening the possibility for immediate dethronement.
Auditions for this season began online in May, followed by physical screenings across Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu. The show follows the success of Season 9, which saw 33-year-old Kellyrae emerge as the first-ever married winner in BBNaija history.
With the house now fully occupied and the first twist already in motion, fans can expect high drama, unpredictable alliances, and intense gameplay as Season 10 unfolds.
