BREAKING: Alexander Ikwechegh Arraigned for Assaulting Bolt Driver

The Nigeria Police Force Special Investigation Unit has concluded its inquiry into the assault case involving Bolt driver Stephen Abuwatseya and has today arraigned Hon. Alexander Mascot Ikwechegh at the Kuje Magistrate Court. Ikwechegh faces charges of “Abuse of Office, Criminal Intimidation, Criminal Force, and Assault” under Sections 397(b) and 265 of the Penal Code Act, stemming from the incident that occurred on the night of October 27, 2024.

Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, had previously ordered a thorough investigation to ensure justice is served and to promote human dignity in Nigeria.

The IGP reiterated the Force’s commitment to upholding the rule of law, assuring the public that no one is above the law and that all necessary steps will be taken to ensure justice is achieved.
