BREAKING: Tinubu, Shettima Condole NNPCL Chief Mele Kyari Over Daughter’s Death

President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima on Friday extended their condolences to the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari, following the death of his daughter, Fatima Kyari.

Fatima, aged 25, passed away after a prolonged illness.

In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu expressed deep sympathy for Kyari and his family, acknowledging the profound loss. “The President prays for the repose of Fatima’s soul and encourages the Kyari family to remain strong in this difficult time,” the statement read.

Vice President Shettima, who attended the funeral prayers at Annur Mosque in Abuja, also offered his condolences. According to a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Stanley Nkwocha, Shettima prayed for Fatima’s peaceful repose and asked God to provide the family with strength to endure their tragic loss.

Shettima was joined by other mourners at the funeral service held in the nation’s capital.
