A new celebrity-driven campaign movement, Relax! Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN), is set to be launched on July 24 in Abuja to bolster support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid and highlight his administration’s achievements.
Spearheaded in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, the initiative has attracted prominent figures from Nigeria’s creative and entertainment industries, including veteran actors Zack Orji, Saheed Balogun, Yul Edochie, Benedict Johnson, Gentle Jack, and Labista. Musicians such as Konga, Lege Miami, Rarara, and the duo Zulezoo are also backing the movement.
As a prelude to the official launch, RTIFN held a Roadshow Awareness Walk in the Federal Capital Territory on June 30, drawing hundreds of enthusiastic supporters. The build-up continues with a youth and women-focused town hall meeting on July 22 and a grand musical concert scheduled for July 26, both in Abuja.
The campaign will be anchored on four core themes: We Say No to Violence, We Stand by His Mandate to Drive Nigeria Forward, Together, We Build the Nation of Our Dream, and No Pain, No Gain! We Have to Go Through This and Support Mr. President in His Great Works to Move Nigeria to Greater Heights.
RTIFN leader, Hon. Ahmed Bala, stated that the launch will showcase a compendium of 223 documented achievements of President Tinubu’s administration over the past two years. He emphasized the importance of countering misinformation allegedly being spread by opposition figures and critics.
“This campaign is about setting the record straight,” Bala said. “It’s about showing Nigerians the real progress that has been made and the vision we are steadily realizing under President Tinubu.”
He also praised Minister of Youth Development, Mr. Ayodede Olawande, and the President’s Special Assistant on Youth Engagement, Hon. Sunday Adedayo, for their unwavering support toward youth mobilization and national unity.
The RTIFN campaign comes on the heels of a detailed report from the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement (North Central), which outlined key progress in the region under the Renewed Hope Agenda. According to Dr. Abiodun Essiet, the SSA, initiatives such as student loans, major infrastructure projects, agro-processing zones, and the creation of the North Central Development Commission are already yielding significant results.
“The North Central region is witnessing tangible development under the Renewed Hope Agenda. We are seeing real results!” Dr. Essiet said in a statement.
Similar sentiments were echoed in the South East, where the Tinubu administration recently established the long-awaited South East Development Commission (SEDC), viewed by stakeholders as a historic step toward addressing long-standing grievances. The government has also launched several tertiary institutions in the region.
With the RTIFN movement gathering momentum and backing from entertainment heavyweights, the campaign is poised to become a significant platform in shaping the political narrative ahead of the 2027 elections.
