Mr. Daniel Mayuku, Chairman of the Delta State Security Trust Fund, has emerged as the first winner of a Toyota Prado in the ongoing Globacom Festival of Joy promotion. The grand prize was presented to him on Thursday, November 21, at Gloworld, Delta Mall in Warri. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, and Chief Anthony Ofoni, Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Area, handed over the keys in a vibrant ceremony attended by Glo subscribers and well-wishers.

Mayuku, who was initially skeptical about winning, expressed his gratitude after confirming the authenticity of the prize. “I thought it was a scam when I first received the call, but after confirming with Glo, I was thrilled,” he said. “Globacom truly delights its subscribers every year.”

In addition to the Toyota Prado, other winners received prizes such as tricycles, power generators, sewing machines, and grinding machines. Ovueve Efejiro, who won a tricycle, shared her excitement, saying, “This Keke will benefit my family and help my brother with his commercial activities.”

The event was marked by performances from Ema Dance Troupe, creating a festive atmosphere in Warri. Hon. Guwor praised Globacom for its consistent empowerment of Nigerians, adding, “We are grateful to Glo for their continued support, and I hope to be a winner too one day.”

Globacom’s Regional Manager, Mr. Frederick Oiboh, outlined the participation process, emphasizing the importance of recharging and dialing *611# to qualify for the ongoing draws.

Guests at the event included representatives from the Urhobo community, National Lottery Regulatory Commission, and local dignitaries, alongside Nollywood stars and comedians. The next prize presentation will take place in Lagos, where more Nigerians will win prizes, including another Toyota Prado.
