Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, delivered an electrifying performance during a cocktail event celebrating the 75th anniversary of the United Bank for Africa (UBA). The celebration took place on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
The “Skelewu” hitmaker thrilled the audience with a medley of his popular tracks, including Aye, Skelewu, and Risky. The vibrant performance had attendees singing along, making the night even more memorable.
Notable personalities in attendance included Nigeria’s Vice President Kashim Shettima and UBA Group Chairman, Tony Elumelu, who are in New York for the UNGA to discuss Africa’s future on the global stage.
Earlier, Davido expressed his excitement about attending the UNGA for the first time, tweeting, “Touch down New York City for the @UN General Assembly… My first time attending should be interesting… Also performing tonight at one of the events! Catch me if u can.”
