Following the success of its inaugural edition, the +234 Art Fair is set to return for a second edition from March 27 to March 31, 2025, at the Ecobank Pan African Center (EPAC), Victoria Island, Lagos. Organized by Soto Gallery Foundation in partnership with Ecobank Nigeria Limited, Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), and Craneburg Construction Company as the main sponsor, the fair will open daily at 10 a.m.
Themed “Championing Patronage in Nigerian Art,” the 2025 edition will spotlight the role of patronage in fostering the sustainability and global recognition of Nigerian artists. By providing a premier platform for young, unrepresented talents, the fair aims to bridge the gap between artists and collectors, further propelling the country’s thriving art industry.
Founder of +234 Art Fair and Soto Gallery Foundation, Mrs. Tola Akerele, highlighted the fair’s mission beyond financial investment. She emphasized the importance of nurturing relationships that empower artists to expand their creative reach.
“Art thrives in environments where a committed community supports its growth. The 2025 +234 Art Fair will create essential connections between artists, collectors, and enthusiasts, demonstrating how meaningful support can shape an artist’s journey and the broader art ecosystem,” Akerele said.
Reflecting on the inaugural edition’s success, she added: “We remain committed to providing opportunities for ‘un-galleried’ Nigerian artists to showcase their incredible skills on both local and global art stages.”
Bolaji Lawal, Managing Director/Regional Executive, Ecobank Nigeria, reaffirmed the bank’s dedication to supporting Nigeria’s creative industry.

Other institutional patrons, including AFC, Craneburg Construction, and TOOF, have also played a vital role in elevating the fair as a major cultural initiative in Nigeria.
The 2025 +234 Art Fair will feature an array of artworks, including paintings, photography, and sculptures reflecting various aspects of Nigerian society. With free entry, the event will promote cultural engagement, wealth creation, and educational opportunities.
The fair is expected to attract a diverse audience, including Nigerians, Africans, international residents, policymakers, diplomats, and global art enthusiasts.
