First City Monument Bank Limited (FCMB) has announced the appointment of Ademola Adebise and Mrs. Olufunmilayo Adedibu to its board of directors.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the bank described Adebise as a highly respected figure in Nigeria’s financial industry, and Adedibu as a distinguished lawyer with extensive experience in legal practice and banking.
Their appointments as non-executive directors have received approval from the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Adebise, a seasoned banker with over 30 years of experience, previously served as Managing Director of Wema Bank Plc and currently chairs the board of Family Homes Funds Limited. He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Lagos and an MBA from Lagos Business School. Adebise is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Bankers, having completed executive programs at the University of Cambridge and Harvard Business School.
Adedibu, currently the Group General Counsel and Company Secretary of FCMB Group, brings 32 years of post-graduation experience to the board. She holds a Bachelor of Law degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, a Master of Law degree from the University of Lagos, and a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School. Adedibu began her legal career at the law firm Chris Ogunbanjo and Co., where she gained extensive experience in litigation, company law, copyright, and patent laws before transitioning to the banking sector.
