The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Fidelity Bank Plc, Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, OON, has encouraged women professionals to embrace mentorship, continuous learning, and collaboration as tools for achieving career growth and leadership success.
She made the call during a Women’s Roundtable held at the Fidelity SME Hub in Gbagada, Lagos, under the theme “Mentorship with Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe.” The event was organized as part of the bank’s HerFidelity Proposition, a program aimed at empowering women across business and professional sectors.
Addressing participants from diverse industries, Dr. Onyeali-Ikpe underscored the vision behind HerFidelity, which she said was developed to provide support beyond access to finance.
“While Nigerian women are talented and ambitious, many still lack access to funding, mentorship, health services, and professional networks,” she said. “HerFidelity bridges that gap with a focus on capital access, capacity building, wellness, and entrepreneurship.”
The session featured a Q&A format, allowing participants to engage directly with the CEO, who shared personal insights from her leadership journey. She encouraged women to take smart risks and invest in meaningful relationships.
“Believe in your vision, work hard, and seek mentors who challenge and guide you. Above all, collaborate—success is never a solo effort,” she advised.
The roundtable also included interactive activities and giveaways, further reinforcing Fidelity Bank’s role as a key driver of women’s empowerment in Nigeria.
Fidelity Bank continues to lead in gender-focused initiatives and was recently recognized for its support of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and innovative banking solutions.
