Fidelity Bank, Misnoory Foundation Feed 1,500 in Kano

More than 1,500 residents of Kabuga community, Dala Local Government Area of Kano State, have benefited from a food distribution initiative organized by Fidelity Bank Plc in partnership with Misnoory Foundation. The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, known as the Fidelity Food Bank, provided essential food items to support vulnerable groups during the holy month of Ramadan.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, Divisional Head, Brands and Communications, Fidelity Bank Plc, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to social welfare and community development.

“Social responsibility is at the heart of our operations at Fidelity Bank. Our Food Bank initiative is one of the ways we contribute to social welfare in our host communities. This initiative was established to support vulnerable populations and mzero hunger,” Nwagboh stated.

He further highlighted the scale of the initiative, noting that more than 150,000 food packs have been distributed across Nigeria since the program’s launch in April 2023.

“Our outreach in Kabuga is specifically designed to assist women, widows, children, and the community with food supplies for the Ramadan season,” he added.

Founder of Misnoory Foundation, Maryam Isa Inuwa, commended the partnership with Fidelity Bank, emphasizing the alignment of both organizations in their mission to alleviate poverty and provide humanitarian assistance.
