In celebration of International Women’s Day 2026, Fidelity Bank Plc has rolled out a series of masterclasses and support initiatives aimed at equipping women with practical skills, enhancing professional visibility, and accelerating career growth throughout March.
On March 18, 2026, HerFidelity hosted the “Give to Gain” masterclass, focusing on communication and presentation. Participants received guidance on audience engagement, event moderation, confidence-building, and personal branding, tailored to women seeking to strengthen public speaking and professional presence.
A second event, the Gele Masterclass, is scheduled for March 30, 2026, offering hands-on training in gele tying. Fidelity Bank positions the session as both a celebration of cultural expression and a marketable skill that women can turn into a source of income.
In addition to the masterclasses, the bank is providing professional headshot sessions to help participants update personal and professional profiles.
“At Fidelity Bank, we believe that empowering women economically creates an impact that extends beyond the individual. It strengthens families, grows businesses, and uplifts communities. That is why we have designed an elaborate plan to upskill women throughout this month. We want women to leave these sessions with practical tools they can apply immediately, whether it is public speaking, building a personal brand, or learning a skill that generates income,” said Ugochi Osinigwe, Divisional Head, Small and Medium-scale Enterprises Banking, Fidelity Bank Plc.
Earlier this month, Fidelity Bank reaffirmed its commitment to women’s economic empowerment through the launch of the “Give Her Power” initiative on March 5, 2026, signing strategic MoUs with partner organisations. Anchored in the HerFidelity Apprenticeship Programme, the initiative expands access to vocational training, business support, and sustainable enterprise opportunities for women across various sectors.
As part of the programme, Fidelity Bank is distributing 1,000 sewing and grinding machines to support women-led microbusinesses across Nigeria.
With over 10 million customers and 255 business offices in Nigeria, alongside its UK subsidiary, FidBank UK Limited, Fidelity Bank has been recognized for excellence in digital banking, MSME support, and investment services. Recent accolades include:
