FirstBank has been named Nigeria’s Best Bank for Large Corporates and Nigeria’s Best Bank for Customer Experience at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026 held in London.
The awards recognise outstanding performance in the global banking industry, with winners selected through a rigorous assessment of financial performance, innovation, customer impact, service delivery and strategic execution.
FirstBank retained the Best Bank for Large Corporates award for the third consecutive year, reflecting its continued leadership in delivering banking solutions to large businesses and institutions across Nigeria.
The bank reported a 55 per cent increase in customer banking revenue, which rose from N443.8 billion to N687.7 billion during the review period.
Its AI-powered internet banking platform, FirstDirect, processed transactions worth more than N15.4 trillion and handled over five million successful transactions in 2025. The platform also recorded a 101 per cent increase in corporate customer onboarding, expanding to more than 5,969 corporate clients.
