The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has welcomed the recent ruling by the CAF Appeal Board, which reaffirmed the primacy of competition regulations and reinforced the standards required for the proper conduct of international tournaments.

The FRMF reiterated that, from the start, its stance regarding the match disruption was guided by strict adherence to governing rules. Following its appeal, CAF confirmed that the regulations had not been correctly applied during the incident.

Throughout the proceedings, the FRMF maintained full compliance with all legal and procedural frameworks, focusing on upholding its rights and protecting the integrity of the competition.

The federation said the decision provides clarity on regulatory frameworks and strengthens the consistency and credibility of African football competitions.

Looking ahead, the FRMF stated it will now concentrate on upcoming events, including the FIFA World Cup and the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for this summer, while continuing to advocate for the fair and consistent application of rules across all continental and international tournaments.

The FRMF also praised all participating nations in this year’s Africa Cup of Nations for showcasing the talent and dynamism of African football.
