Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has extended festive greetings to Ndi Anambra and Christians across Nigeria, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
In a goodwill message, Governor Soludo described Christmas as a season that embodies hope, love, peace, and redemption—values that resonate with collective aspirations for a better society and nation.
Through his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, the governor emphasized that the season goes beyond celebrations, calling for reflection on compassion, selflessness, and unity, virtues exemplified by Christ. He urged Christians to practise the true essence of Christmas by showing love and generosity, particularly to the less privileged, noting that acts of kindness strengthen communal bonds.
Governor Soludo also encouraged residents and visitors to participate in “Onwa D’zemba,” a special festive programme featuring various holiday activities in the state. He further called on everyone to include Nigeria in their prayers, seeking peace, prosperity, progress, and divine wisdom for the nation’s leaders.
Reassuring citizens and visitors of a safe and secure festive period, Governor Soludo wished all a Merry Christmas filled with blessings, good health, and a Happy New Year of renewed hope and opportunities.
