LJMG Elevator, the Elevator and Escalator division of JMG Limited, has completed the installation and maintenance support of 16 TK Elevator units at the Victor Attah International Airport in Akwa Ibom State.
The project, which supports the airport’s recent commencement of internal operations with its first passenger flight to Accra, Ghana, includes 12 elevators and 4 escalators designed to enhance passenger movement, accessibility, and operational efficiency within the terminal.
On board the maiden flight were Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno; Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo; and other government officials.
The airport, regarded as a modern aviation facility built to international standards, requires advanced vertical transportation systems to ensure safety, reliability, and seamless passenger flow.
JMG Elevator confirmed that all installed units are currently under its maintenance support programme, ensuring continuous performance, safety compliance, and service availability.
Following the initial installation, the client has requested an additional three units — comprising one lift and two escalators. Once completed, the total number of TK Elevator installations at the airport will rise to 19 units.
As the authorised and sole dealer of TK Elevator (TKE) in Nigeria, JMG Elevator provides installation, maintenance, and after-sales support backed by international technology and local engineering expertise.
The installed system includes passenger lifts, goods lifts, standard lifts, and panoramic lifts, with capacities of up to 1,250kg for goods lifts and 1,000kg for passenger lifts. The four escalators installed are indoor units designed to support continuous passenger flow within the terminal.
