JMG Haulage, the logistics and haulage arm of JMG, has announced a significant expansion of its fleet as part of efforts to strengthen its pan-Nigeria transport and logistics capacity amid rising demand across FMCG, beverage and industrial supply chains.
Established in 2019, JMG Haulage began operations with four trucks serving internal distribution needs and a limited number of third-party clients. Through steady service delivery and operational discipline, the company expanded its fleet to 31 heavy-duty and 16 light-duty trucks before the latest phase of growth.
The current expansion adds 20 new heavy-duty trucks to the fleet. Each vehicle is configured as a 24-pallet unit with a payload capacity of up to 45 tonnes, substantially enhancing the company’s long-haul and nationwide delivery capabilities. The development positions JMG Haulage to support large-scale logistics operations and strengthens its appeal to both national and multinational shippers.
The newly deployed trucks operate on a mixed-energy platform, comprising 10 compressed natural gas (CNG)-powered units with a range of up to 1,400 kilometres, alongside 10 diesel-powered trucks to ensure flexibility across varied routes. According to the company, the strategy balances operational efficiency, reliability and environmental considerations.
Commenting on the expansion, the General Manager of JMG Haulage, Mohamad Dayekh, described the development as a major milestone.
“This fleet expansion allows us to scale our haulage and logistics capacity nationwide while maintaining high service standards, cost efficiency and safety. Our investment in both CNG and diesel technologies strengthens reliability for customers today while preparing JMG Haulage for a more sustainable future,” he said.
The fleet rollout was completed in January 2026 following inspection, branding, driver deployment and route planning. With the expansion, JMG Haulage expects its monthly operational mileage to rise from about 150,000 kilometres to 250,000 kilometres, improving delivery timelines, reducing turnaround times and enabling the onboarding of new clients without service disruption.
JMG Haulage operates across major commercial corridors in northern, southern, eastern and western Nigeria, providing logistics solutions for FMCG, agro-products, chemicals, cosmetics, electrical goods, generators and industrial equipment. The company said this diversified portfolio supports long-term resilience and growth in the haulage sector.
The operations are backed by dedicated maintenance teams, OEM-led technical training, preventive maintenance programmes and strict cost-per-kilometre monitoring to ensure safety and efficiency.
Looking ahead, JMG Haulage plans to expand into cold-chain logistics and increase investment in green haulage solutions, aligning its operations with global sustainability trends and reinforcing its ambition to remain a future-ready logistics provider in Nigeria.
