As the world commemorates World Engineering Day 2026, JMG Limited has underscored the critical role of engineering in driving economic growth, industrial productivity and sustainable development.
The global observance, celebrated annually on March 4 and proclaimed by UNESCO as World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development, spotlights this year’s theme: “Smart Engineering for a Sustainable Future through Innovation and Digitalisation.”
For JMG, the company said, the theme reflects the core of its operations and long-standing commitment to delivering innovative electro-mechanical solutions across Nigeria.
The firm provides integrated services spanning power generation, solar energy, electrical infrastructure, air compressors, cooling systems, elevators and escalators—key components supporting industrial facilities, commercial centres and residential developments nationwide.
Speaking on the significance of the day, JMG’s Chief Commercial Officer, Rabi Jammal, described engineering as a catalyst for transformation.
“Engineering is more than machines and systems; it is about impact. Smart engineering enables businesses to operate efficiently, cities to function reliably, and communities to grow sustainably. Through innovation and digitalisation, we are redefining how energy is generated, managed and optimised across Nigeria,” Jammal said.
At the centre of the company’s operations is a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technical professionals who design, install and maintain systems aimed at improving efficiency, minimising downtime and delivering long-term value to clients.
Sustainability, the company noted, remains a strategic priority. Since 2018, JMG has focused on renewable and hybrid energy solutions, introducing Lithion inverters and batteries, followed by Livfast inverters and batteries in 2022. In 2024, it expanded its solar portfolio to include LONGi solar panels, Deye lithium batteries and Must solar inverters, offering cleaner and more efficient alternatives to conventional power systems.
According to the company, these innovations contribute to expanding access to affordable and clean energy, while supporting the development of more sustainable cities and resilient communities.
JMG said World Engineering Day serves both as a celebration of engineering excellence and a call to deepen digital transformation and innovation in pursuit of a smarter, more sustainable future.
