Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has asserted that the 2027 general election will see Nigerians standing against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), rather than a typical party rivalry with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Governor Makinde made these remarks on Saturday in Ibadan at the commissioning of the PDP’s South-West zonal secretariat.
While commissioning the newly inaugurated Soji Adagunodo House, which will serve as the PDP’s regional hub, Makinde praised Adagunodo’s contributions to South-West politics, calling the building a legacy in his honor. “The next election will be APC versus Nigerians. It is not even about APC versus PDP,” Makinde stated, urging his party members to unify and mobilize their base to allow the voices of Nigerians to be heard in the electoral process.
