Mrs. Abiodun reiterates commitment to welfare of women,children

The First Lady and Wife of Ogun State Governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun has reiterated her commitment to the welfare of women, children and the less privileged to encourage them contribute their best to the development of the State.

Mrs. Abiodun made this known today in Abeokuta, during a visit to Daniel Akintonde School for Children with Special Needs and Lepers’ Colony, Iberekodo in celebration of her 55th birthday, saying they were integral part of the society and should be treated as such.

She noted that the present administration would not relent in giving the needed support to them, adding that her office would continue to identify and make them have a sense of belonging.

“I want to appreciate the teachers and caregivers for taking good care of the children, as their wellbeing gives me satisfaction and joy. I will not relent in extending care to them throughout the tenure of this administration”, the First Lady assured.

Mrs. Abiodun who advised the learners to be well-behaved and cooperate with their teachers and caregivers, donated cash gifts, toiletries and food items to them.

In her welcome address, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Mrs. Abosede Ogunleye appreciated Mrs. Abiodun for her generosity and love to the children since the inception of the present administration.

The events were graced by members of Spouses of Ogun State Government Functionaries Association (SOSGFA), Permanent Secretaries and Directors in the Office of the Wife of the Governor.
