Anticipation is mounting ahead of the MTN CHAMPS Grand Finale, scheduled to take place at Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan from April 14 to 17, 2026.
The event follows earlier competitive rounds in Calabar and Jos, culminating in a four-day showcase of emerging athletic talent from across Nigeria. Participants will compete in the Cadet, Junior, Youth, and Senior categories in what organisers describe as a defining moment for grassroots sports development.
Schools are set to compete for top honours and a share of the ₦20 million prize pool, with athletes aiming to conclude the season on a strong note.
The grand finale is expected to draw coaches, families, sports enthusiasts, and supporters, offering a platform to witness the performance and potential of the country’s next generation of track and field stars.
Organisers say the event underscores MTN’s continued commitment to nurturing young talent and promoting sports development nationwide.
