By Ayomide Otitoju

The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), Mr. Bayo Ojulari, has reiterated his commitment to building robust partnerships with key stakeholders to successfully execute the strategic directives entrusted to him by President Bola Tinubu.

Ojulari made the pledge on Wednesday during a courtesy visit to the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri. The meeting emphasized a unified vision for progress and performance in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.

Addressing the Minister, Ojulari stated that he and his executive team are entering office with a collaborative spirit and a strong determination to make a transformative impact. He underscored the importance of synergy between NNPC Ltd and relevant institutions to overcome bureaucratic bottlenecks and fast-track sectoral growth.

“We are here with a mindset of partnership—partnership with the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, the Ministry of Finance, and other critical stakeholders. Our goal is to bridge gaps, foster alignment, and move forward with a united front. Antagonism benefits no one; collaboration is how we win,” Ojulari said.

In response, Lokpobiri expressed confidence in the new leadership at NNPC Ltd, describing it as arguably the strongest management team the company has assembled in its history.

“This is the time to convert that strength into tangible results, particularly in ramping up crude oil production and ensuring the industry delivers optimal value to Nigerians,” the Minister stated.

He assured Ojulari of his office’s full support and collaboration in creating a conducive environment for the NNPC to thrive and meet its national objectives.

In a statement issued by NNPC’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, the company noted that the renewed commitment to partnership marks the beginning of a new era for the oil and gas industry—defined by purposeful collaboration, operational efficiency, and a collective drive for national development.
