The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd. (NNPC Ltd.) has firmly denied recent reports alleging that it is selling employment slots to the public. In a statement released on Saturday by the company’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, the public, especially job seekers, were urged to disregard these rumors.
Soneye emphasized that there is no truth to the claims that NNPC Ltd. is offering employment slots for sale. He described these reports as the work of “fraudsters” attempting to exploit unsuspecting applicants.
“As a responsible corporate entity, recruitment into the company is conducted through a transparent and straightforward process,” Soneye stated, adding that the process does not involve the sale of slots or any form of inducement.
NNPC Ltd. also issued a stern warning to the public, advising that anyone who pays money in hopes of securing a job within the company does so at their own risk.
