Mumuni Dagazau, Executive Vice President of Downstream Operations at NNPC Limited, has called for innovative approaches to fuel distribution in Nigeria, emphasizing the importance of efficient last-mile delivery, cost reduction, and alternative energy solutions.
Speaking at a panel session themed “Driving Domestic Value: Transforming Downstream Markets & Refining” during the #NIES2026 conference, Dagazau highlighted the role of compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), pipelines, and gas-based transport in improving accessibility and operational efficiency nationwide.
He also underscored NNPC’s ongoing investments in condensate refineries, the expansion of CNG and LPG adoption, and efforts to supply fuel across Nigeria at affordable prices.
Dagazau reaffirmed NNPC’s commitment to execution excellence, infrastructure optimization, and a diversified energy mix that strengthens energy security while creating lasting value for the country’s downstream sector.
