Abuja — Udy Ntia, Executive Vice President of Upstream Operations at NNPC Limited, has highlighted Nigeria’s competitive advantages in oil and gas investment, emphasizing the country’s fiscal clarity, improved governance, and execution certainty.
Speaking during the Upstream Leadership Dialogue panel at the Nigeria International Energy Summit (NIES) 2026, themed “Capitalising Africa’s Global Upstream Momentum”, Ntia noted that close collaboration between the government and industry players is strengthening investor confidence and driving growth in the sector.
The panel featured senior executives from TotalEnergies, Seplat Energy, Chevron, ExxonMobil, Renaissance Africa Energy, Oando, and ND Western, who discussed prospects for upstream investments across Africa.
Ntia reaffirmed NNPC Limited’s commitment to strong operational performance, efficient asset utilization, and a balanced energy approach that ensures supply security while delivering long-term value in Nigeria’s upstream sector.
