The NNPC Gas & Power Investment Services (NGPIS) has been awarded the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) Certification by the British Standards Institution (BSI), in recognition of its commitment to operational excellence, quality service delivery, and sustainable business performance.
The certificate was formally presented to the Executive Vice President, Gas, Power and New Energy, Mr. Olalekan Ogunleye, by the Head of Planning and Commercial, Ayuba Rabo, who led a delegation from NGPIS to the presentation ceremony held at the NNPC Towers in Abuja on Wednesday.
The certification followed a quality management implementation process that began in December 2024 and included internal and external audits, process standardisation, and the development of a comprehensive quality management system.
The achievement was coordinated by the NGPIS Quality Management System (QMS) team under the leadership of Okeoghene Esugo, whose efforts were credited with driving the successful implementation of the certification programme.
According to NNPC, the ISO 9001:2015 certification confirms that NGPIS operates a quality management system that meets internationally recognised standards and global best practices.
The company said the certification strengthens NGPIS’ position within the energy sector by enhancing operational efficiency, improving service delivery, increasing customer satisfaction, and boosting its competitiveness in both domestic and international markets.
