NNPC–NYSC Programme Promotes Financial Literacy, Skills

The NNPC Foundation Ltd./Gte. has conducted its second 2026 financial literacy training for Batch A, Stream 2 corps members of the National Youth Service Corps at the FCT orientation camp in Kubwa, Abuja.
The programme, delivered in partnership with the NYSC Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) scheme, focused on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and business development. It featured modules such as financial literacy assessments, a “Kick Start My Business” course, and business proposal pitching sessions.
Managing Director of the NNPC Foundation, Emmanuella Arukwe, represented by Head of Programme Management, Rose Okonkwo, disclosed that over one million corps members have benefited from the initiative nationwide.
Acting Director of SAED, Usman Yahaya, commended the Foundation’s sustained support and encouraged participants to acquire multiple skills during their service year to become job creators.
The Foundation noted that in 2025, no fewer than 531 youths received starter packs and financial support under the programme, with many beneficiaries reporting measurable business growth.
Through the initiative, the NNPC Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to equipping young Nigerians with practical skills for self-reliance and long-term economic development.
