NNPC Records Growth in Oil Production, Revenue, Profit

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has reported improved operational and financial performance in its April 2026 Monthly Report Summary, recording growth in crude oil production, revenue and profit.

According to the report, crude oil and condensate production rose to 1.68 million barrels per day (mmbopd) in April, representing a 7.69 per cent increase compared to March 2026. Gas production remained largely stable at 7,730 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscf/d), marginally lower than the 7,731 mmscf/d recorded in the previous month.

NNPC Ltd. also highlighted significant infrastructure milestones during the period, including the successful completion of the OB3 River Niger Crossing project. The company further reported continued progress on construction and installation activities along the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline mainline, aimed at achieving early gas delivery to Abuja in 2026.

On the financial front, the report showed revenue of N4.971 trillion for April 2026, representing a 79.23 per cent increase compared to the March report. Profit after tax stood at N481 billion, up by approximately 74.28 per cent month-on-month.

The national oil company also disclosed cumulative statutory payments of N3.714 trillion for the period covering January to April 2026.

NNPC Ltd. said the report reflects continued progress in its operational performance, strategic initiatives and efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s energy infrastructure while enhancing value creation for stakeholders.
