Polaris Bank has partnered with Cyclotron Cycling Development Initiatives to strengthen “LiveWell by Polaris,” the bank’s flagship wellness programme focused on promoting healthy living, preventive healthcare, and overall wellbeing among employees, customers, and communities across Nigeria.

The partnership was unveiled during a ceremony at the bank’s headquarters in Lagos, where both organisations also introduced a co-branded partnership jersey symbolising their shared commitment to healthier lifestyles and advocacy-driven cycling initiatives.

According to the bank, LiveWell by Polaris is designed to encourage physical fitness, mental wellbeing, and healthier lifestyle choices through fitness challenges, health awareness campaigns, and strategic partnerships. The initiative, it said, reflects the belief that personal wellbeing is closely connected to productivity, financial success, and sustainable development.

Cyclotron Club, a non-profit cycling association, promotes safe and organised cycling among professionals across sectors such as medicine, finance, law, technology, automobile, and academia. The club is also recognised for advocacy campaigns including the Lagos–Accra–Lagos Ride for Autism, aimed at raising awareness and support for individuals living with autism and their families.

Speaking at the event, Chris Ofikulu, Executive Director, Retail and Commercial Banking at Polaris Bank, described the collaboration as a significant milestone in the bank’s wellness and corporate social responsibility efforts.

He said the partnership marked an important step in the growth of LiveWell by Polaris and underscored the bank’s commitment to promoting healthier lifestyles and meaningful social impact.

According to Ofikulu, the collaboration with Cyclotron Club and support for advocacy campaigns such as Ride for Autism would further expand the bank’s corporate social responsibility footprint while encouraging Nigerians to embrace wellness as a foundation for success and quality living.

He added that the initiative aligns with the bank’s broader vision of creating value beyond banking and contributing positively to society.

“Cycling is not only a globally recognised sport but also one of the most effective ways to stay physically fit. Through LiveWell by Polaris, we are investing in the health and wellbeing of our people and the communities we serve because we firmly believe that health is wealth,” he said.

Captain of Cyclotron Club, Eziafakaku Nwokolo, commended Polaris Bank for supporting wellness-focused initiatives, noting that the partnership would strengthen the club’s advocacy efforts and support professional cyclists competing locally and internationally.

The event also featured cycling skills demonstrations by members of Cyclotron Club, showcasing the discipline and athleticism associated with the sport.

Polaris Bank said the LiveWell initiative remains part of its broader commitment to promoting healthier communities, encouraging positive lifestyle choices, and delivering sustainable impact beyond banking.
