Polaris Bank has concluded its nationwide financial literacy campaign with a dynamic session at Government Day Secondary School, Pantami, Gombe State, marking the culmination of its activities for World Savings Day 2024. The program, which reached schools across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), aimed to instill a culture of saving and financial responsibility among young Nigerians.

The final session, held on November 14, 2024, featured interactive discussions and practical lessons designed to inspire students to adopt prudent financial habits early in life. The initiative, which kicked off on October 28, 2024, engaged thousands of students nationwide, emphasizing education’s critical role in advancing financial inclusion.

Representing Polaris Bank’s MD/CEO, the Group Head for the North East, Aliyu Baba Adamu, underscored the importance of financial literacy in fostering a financially responsible society. “Through this program, we aim to empower young Nigerians with the knowledge and skills needed to make sound financial decisions. Our commitment is to bridge the financial literacy gap and support Nigeria’s journey toward financial inclusion, economic growth, and sustainability,” Adamu stated.

Mal. Muhammad Saje Daudu, Principal of Government Day Secondary School, lauded the initiative, highlighting its impact on the students. “This initiative has given our students invaluable insights into the importance of savings and financial discipline. We are deeply grateful to Polaris Bank for investing in the financial education of our youth and shaping their future positively,” he said.

The initiative reinforces Polaris Bank’s dedication to social impact, particularly in equipping young Nigerians with essential financial skills to navigate an evolving financial landscape.

Polaris Bank’s commitment to innovation and community engagement has earned it the title of Nigeria’s Digital Bank of the Year for four consecutive years (2021–2024) at the Business Day Banks and Other Financial Institutions (BAFI) Awards.
