Polaris Bank has partnered with Amtis Skills Place to nurture the next generation of young fashion designers through the 2024 Amtis Fashion Competition, reinforcing its commitment to youth empowerment and entrepreneurship.
Since its establishment in 2015, Amtis Skills Place has focused on equipping young Nigerians with contemporary vocational skills, bridging the gap between traditional education and the demands of the modern job market. This year’s fashion competition, supported by Polaris Bank, showcased exceptional talent among emerging designers aged 18 to 35.
Celebrating Creativity and Teamwork
The event tasked participants with creating vintage-inspired garments, celebrating classic fashion eras. Teams comprising fashion designers, makeup artists, and models worked collaboratively, showcasing creativity, craftsmanship, teamwork, and adherence to the vintage theme.
The competition concluded with an awards ceremony, where Wuraola Robert emerged as the overall winner, taking home the grand prize of ₦500,000. Second and third-place winners received ₦300,000 and ₦200,000, respectively.
