Portugal delivered a dominant display in Yerevan on Saturday, thrashing Armenia 5-0 in their FIFA World Cup Qualifier.
The Seleção were in control from the outset at the Vazgen Sargsyan anvan Hanrapetakan Marzadasht Stadium, with João Félix, Cristiano Ronaldo, and João Cancelo all on target in a commanding Group F victory.
Félix opened the scoring in the 10th minute after a fine setup from Cancelo, before Ronaldo doubled the lead 11 minutes later following Pedro Neto’s clever assist. Cancelo added a third in the 32nd minute to put Portugal firmly in charge before halftime.
The visitors resumed with the same intensity after the break. Ronaldo struck again just seconds into the second half, and Félix completed his brace in the 61st minute to cap off a five-star performance.
Armenia, backed by 14,403 home supporters, struggled throughout to contain Portugal’s attacking firepower.
The emphatic win not only solidifies Portugal’s standing in the group but also highlights their depth and attacking quality, reaffirming their status as one of Europe’s most formidable sides.
